Another poem from my childhood scrapbook. Its about cheering up someone who's feeling low. Hope you like it =)
You've often wondered why,
Why the earth is round, not square?
You've often wondered why,
Why dreams are not real, why care?
Maybe a smile would help,
Help straighten up your doubts,
Or perhaps some jokes or some tickles,
Would tease the tension out...
So laugh with me, and cry with me,
You'll forget you ever got confused,
What's the need to keep a bulb,
That which is out of fuse??
The earth is round, so is our face,
And dreams are like entertainment,
And the laughter you share with me,
Makes life as fresh as a peppermint!

What a delight I felt as I read this uplifting poem. It felt like sweet candy melting slowly in my mouth and savoring it's sweetness. I love uplifting poetry, it's the opposite side of dark poetry and I have written a few:0) Peace and hugs, I rate this UP for sure.

nice post, when i was very young , i used to lie on the grass, and trying to picture myself climbing ladder after ladders to reach the sky(:) Love your poem

These poems were written when I was the saddest (in my teenage years) and badly needed some 'crunch' coz I didn't want to give up yet! They were my future self gently guiding me out of the madness of that time...no, i am not writing poetry coz these days I'm more drawn towards writing short stories and articles...but hoping to write poetry again later sometime...
